I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name…

Brennon and I started the journey from Dana Point, CA to Las Vegas, NV.  We went from 65 temps to 115 in a matter of hours… crazy!  We had never been to the desert.  I would not want to get stuck in it because I am sure I would die but it was actually pretty beautiful.

When we stopped here for gas this was the temp:

I asked a lady that was pumping gas how she liked living here and was it a safe place to live.  She told me her family moved there a while back and they loved it.  She said they have a nice house with lots of land.  There is one driveway with a gate.  The other day the Sheriff stopped by to visit.  She told him that if anyone rolled up uninvited that didn’t have lights on the top of their car she would shoot first and ask questions later.  He said he didn’t blame her lol!  Safety first.  The wild wild west baby lol!

As odd as it sounds I think I like the desert areas better than the beach.  Yes it is hot but I love the wide open spaces.  Very majestic!
